We’re committed to Recovery and Rehabilitation

Keeping physically fit and getting regular exercise are critical parts of a healthy lifestyle. Our residents in particular need to maintain good physical fitness habits and we have developed our physical therapy suite in order to meet two different needs: individual work outs and therapist supervised rehabilitation work outs.

Many residents arriving at Hope Center have ongoing physical rehabilitation needs. They may be recovering from a hospitalization or other issues that requires prescriptive rehabilitation. For those residents we offer amazing physical, occupational and speech therapy five days a week, conducted in personal one on one sessions with each resident. Our team employs the latest techniques and they achieve outstanding results.

We also recognize not every resident require physical therapy, but everyone requires regular exercise. Helping to keep our residents physically fit promotes a longer, healthier, happier life. To meet that need, we have created a separate gymnasium where residents can work out independently seven days a week. Our therapy team will even help craft an exercise routine designed to help each resident achieve his or her goals, whether weight loss, core strengthening, muscle toning, cardio-vascular workouts or any objectives.

Residents at the Hope Center are generally admitted here with one common goal: to reach the point where they can be safely discharged into the community with the tools they’ll need to resume full, independent lives. But we like to think that even though our residents may leave Hope Center, our wish is that Hope Center will never them. We eagerly look forward to our old friends coming back to visit, to participate in our after care programs, and in many instances to help run those programs, especially providing peer counseling to our current residents.

Among our after care service are a very robust housing assistance program that will assist residents in finding appropriate housing upon their discharge from Hope Center.

Once residents are living independently, we encourage them to continue to participate in our Relapse Prevention and Rehab Groups.
