The history of Corning Center as a part of the Centers Health Care family began in 2012.

Corning Center became our first facility in the Finger Lakes region when Centers Health Care took over the struggling Founders Pavilion. After investing in necessary operational improvements to the physical plant, we turned our efforts to the physical therapy suite. The pride of every Centers facility is its commitment to outstanding results in physical, occupational and speech therapy. Keeping our residents physically fit adds immeasurably to their quality of life, keeping them active and mobile and able to take part in so much more.  The physical therapy suite was moved to the main floor, expanded, and placed in an area where it would enjoy bright natural light entering from floor-to-ceiling windows. The right equipment and the right staff completed its transformation to one of the finest therapy departments in the area.

Next we embarked on improvements to the common areas and hallways.  A new more welcoming lobby with conversation pits and improved lighting was created to reflect the homey atmosphere of the facility and immediately after that, we began refurbishing the residential apartments. A new activities room is currently in the planning stage, and through it all, we have continued our expanded staff training to ensure that our residents are among the best cared for, and happiest residents in the area.

We look forward to continuing our program of exciting improvements to Corning Center as we advance our mission to make Corning enter the finest healthcare facility in the area.
