Father’s Day Experience Gifts

If a father, father-in-law, or grandfather in your life isn’t easy to buy a gift for, consider sharing an experience to celebrate Father’s Day together this year!

Centers Health Care has a look at five great experience gifts for Dad this Father’s Day.

  1. \”Take Me Out to the Ball Game\”

If you have fond memories of going to a baseball game with Dad, you don’t have to look far to enjoy a game at the ballpark. The Tri-City ValleyCats play here in Troy all summer and is minor league baseball at its finest. If Dad can handle a car or train trip to New York City to see big-league ball, the New York Mets host the Miami Marlins on Father’s Day (June 19), and the New York Yankees are in town starting on June 20, hosting the Tampa Bay Rays.

  1. Flying Lessons

If aviation was always a hobby of Dad’s, flight schools across the country are booking lessons that are hands-on and affordable. If he would prefer to just be a spectator, opt for a helicopter or hot-air balloon flight.

  1. Wine Tasting

While all areas may not have vineyards, wineries are popping up in more and more urban locations to allow more people to sample their wines and find a new favorite. Take Dad out for nice lunch or dinner and make a wine-tasting part of your time out.

  1. Pub Crawl

If beer is more your dad’s thing, set up a pub crawl in your town. Find a few establishments within walking distance (or just take the car if you’re the designated driver!), and let dad sample some new brews.

  1. Pottery Class

If Dad is into art and creating things, taking a pottery class can be very therapeutic, and many people come away from a class enjoying a new hobby. Plus, a nice added bonus is being able to take home a hand-made souvenir, and you can even gift yours to your father.
