Elvis Presley surprises Warren Center

Elvis lit up Warren Center, the 80-bed skilled nursing facility in Queensbury, on Valentine’s Day this year, and the residents loved the performance. Elvis, who is Donny Romines from New York City, did so many Elvis love songs since it was the day of love and romance, everything from “Can’t Help Falling in Love” to “Love Me Tender,” and the residents clapped and sang along to every song. Additionally, the residents had all kinds of snacks, including strawberry shortcakes, teddy bears, and boxes of chocolate. Recreation Director Holly Desnoyers arranged a Valentine’s Day raffle to benefit the American Heart Association and fight heart disease. Also, everyone voted on this year’s king and queen, and after the ballots were counted, resident Clarice Bennett was crowned queen and Keith Koshak became king.
