Rain Can’t Dampen Spirit at CHC

Even the rain and howling winds couldn’t keep 1,500 people from braving the conditions on October 9, and turning an ugly day into a great time. Along with 5K and 10K races around the lake, there were games, inflatables, a pumpkin painting contest, a raffle with top-notch prizes, a petting zoo and, of course, plenty of food.
The bad weather did put a stop to a planned ceremony hosted by Centers Health Care’s CEO Kenny Rozenberg with many of Rockland County’s dignitaries including County Executive Ed Day, Senator David Carlucci, Assemblywoman Ellen Jaffe, County Legislator Aney Paul, Clarkstown Councilman John Noto and Haverstraw Mayor Michael Kohut. The 5K and 10K races were \"charity runs\" and at the end, Centers Health Care presented donations in the amount of $7,500 to Dr. Mark Geller, president & CEO of Nyack Hospital and to Helene Guss, director of Communications, Bon Secours Charity Health System’s Good Samaritan Hospital, a member of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network located in Suffern.
\"Whether you work with us at Centers Health Care or are a friend just enjoying the day, Family Fun Day is all about people who care,\" said Mr. Rozenberg. \"We love Rockland County and we deeply care about its seniors.\"
Prior to the event, both County Executive Day and Assemblymen Kenneth Zebrowski declared October 9, 2016 \"Centers Health Care\" Day and presented the company with proclamations from their offices.
