Residents and Staff Enjoy Carnival Fun at Williamsbridge Center

For a number of months now, many nursing homes have had zero COVID-19 cases in their buildings and Williamsbridge Center on Tomlinson Avenue is one example of this success. On Thursday, July 1st, the facility had an internal Carnival Day where the staff got dressed up, had raffles, tickets, punch plus other fun and games for their residents. Although the New York State and the city have eased their restrictions, health care facilities like this 77-bed nursing and rehab center keeps masks on fully.

“Some care calling this the new post-pandemic world, but even if it is so, we can never let our guard down right now,” said Williamsbridge Center Administrator Aaron Szydlo. “The most important thing these days, like all days, it to keep the residents happy. This is why the carnival took place.”

Events like these are planned for the rest of the summer and into the fall.
