Slate Valley Center Resident Council Surprise!
At the February 27 Resident Council meeting at Slate Valley Center in Granville, NY, Resident Council President Gene Smith surprised everyone at the meeting by presenting Recreation Director Andrea Kelley and the Director of Social Services Jordyn Avery with a cake and fully signed card thanking them for their continuous hard work, day in and day out. Mr. Smith, who just turned 67 on Feb 24, had been working behind the scenes for the past month to get everyone to sign the card and have the facility drive Mandy Hansen to make a tasty cake for Andrea and Jordyn. Gene has been the facility council president for the past 14 months and was newly re-elected this year.
