Dialysis Completion Celebrated
84-year-old Joan Huestis is a resident at Warren Center in Queensbury, New York, and she was the center of a celebration on April 19 as she successfully completed dialysis. Fewer than 2.5 percent of those with end-stage renal disease are successful. Ms. Huestis, who’s originally from Gansevoort, NY, beat the odds, and the team at Warren Center filled her room with balloons and flowers and sang an original song, “Happy Last Day of Dialysis”. Warren Center is also sending out a big thank you to the DCI team at Glens Falls Hospital.
