Northern Riverview Resident Daphne Reid Discharged
Falls are all too common with people in their later years, but some falls can be worse than others. At 86 years old, Northern Riverview Healthcare resident Daphne Reid is scheduled to be discharged home on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 after a successful rehab experience at the 180-bed nursing and healthcare facility on Route 9W in Haverstraw. Originally from Jamaica and now lives in Haverstraw, Daphne experienced a fall which caused head trauma a number of weeks ago where she was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern. Daphne was then transferred to Northern Riverview on June 21st for extensive rehab given her advanced age and her injury. Along with many medical challenges, the rehab staff, led by Margo Pedraza, understood her injury and the number of obstacles they needed to be careful of in order to give Daphne the best outcome possible.
