On October 13, 2021, the La Bodega Gift Shop at Bannister Center in Providence, RI had a grand re-opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony with Providence Mayor Jorge Elorza was the guest of honor and cut the ribbon along with Bannister Center leadership. Now since prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, the shop is open to all residents and staff alike. Bannister Center’s Recreation Department included entertainment by Bombshell Betty. WPRI-TV (CBS), WJAR-TV 10 (NBC) and WLNE-TV 6 (ABC) reported on the event.
