Farewell to Housekeeper at Brooklyn Center
Staff and residents at Brooklyn Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing on Buffalo Avenue in Crown Heights bid a teary-eyed farewell to Housekeeper Amicilia Serrano who retired at the end of December 2022 from the 281-bed skilled nursing facility after nearly 37 years at the facility. Amicilia, as she was nicknamed “Missy” at the facility for so many years, speaks three languages, French, Spanish, and English given that she was born in Cuba, whereby her mother being Cuban and her father Haitian.
