Buffalo Rehab Group to add three sites

Demand from new customers and better service for existing clients is behind growth that will see Buffalo Rehab Group open three more sites in the next year.

The physical therapy private practice already has 11 sites across the Buffalo-Niagara region. Jeff Woodrich, partner/CEO, pointed to organic growth.

“We’re saturated at our current locations and we’re bringing on three for sure in the next 12 months, and potentially four,” he said. “It’s really all about community access.”

The first site will open Jan. 1 at 1585 Hertel Ave. in Buffalo. That will be followed in March by a location at the three-way intersection of Niagara Falls Boulevard, Eggert Road and Sheridan Drive in the Town of Tonawanda. Then comes 3527 Union Road in Cheektowaga, where a former Pizza Hut is being renovated, with an opening expected by June.

The practice, now with 100 clinicians and 50 support staff, will hire staff for the new offices. Buffalo Rehab Group specializes in physical and occupational therapy, including treating issues related to aging and sports-related injuries. The practice also has partnered with other area providers, opening an office in 2019 at 40 George Karl Blvd. inside a UB Neurosurgery medical facility.

The collaboration with UB Neuro surgeons and other providers, including a chiropractor, a pain medicine practice and Dent Neurologic Institute allows Buffalo Rehab Group to be part of an emerging spine-continuum of care, Woodrich said.

“Right now, we feel there’s great opportunity with the growth in our Buffalo-Niagara community, so we’re not looking outside of that at this time, but there’s so much potential with the growth in the city and suburbs and some of the under-served peripheral rural areas,” he said.
