Centers Laboratory names Juan Grajales Employee of the Month
A big congratulations goes out to Centers Health Care’s molecular biologist and medical laboratory scientist, Mr. Juan Grajales, in Cedar Knolls, New Jersey, as he was named the August 2023 Employee of the Month at Centers Laboratory. Mr. Grajales, whose title is Hematology Laboratory Specialist, is extremely well-loved at the company and has been an employee since June 2022.
After graduating with his Master’s in Biotechnology at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, which came after achieving his Bachelors in Molecular Biology at Montclair State University, Juan started his career as a Molecular Technologist at LabCorp in Raritan in 2018. There, he analyzed and interpreted results from different diseases and infections using RT-PCR testing, the test that achieved national recognition due to the COVID-19 pandemic. After LabCorp, he moved over to Atlantic Health System in Summit, New Jersey, in 2020 for two years as a medical laboratory scientist before bringing his expertise to Centers Labs.
At Centers Labs, Juan has conducted analyses of various specimen types to determine the presence of normal and abnormal components in the quality control policies and document all quality control activities. Also, he has developed protocols and new standard operating procedures, batch records, and other documents as required. Juan has also performed quality control, validations, calibrations, and other quality activities to verify the performance of clinical assays.
