Veterans Honored at Corning Center
Corning Center on East First Street in Corning had a very moving and heartfelt Veterans Day ceremony as veterans from the VFW Post 524 Corning, NY in Crystal City came to the skilled nursing facility to meet and thank the veterans at this very special recognition luncheon. Led by Commander Charlie Bosket, Taps was brilliantly played by a member of the VFW, and two women who came with the VFW sang the National Anthem. A medal ceremony took place where Mr. Bosket handed medals to veterans of Corning Center. All in all, it was a touching day.

The goal is not exactly the same for everyone. It may be returning home, becoming stronger, staying independent or simply feeling better and more comfortable from one day to the next. There will be progress, setbacks and difficult days along the way. Our job is to be there through all of it, and to help each patient or resident get as far as he or she can.
Sometimes that progress comes in large steps. More often, it comes in small ones. Either way, every step matters.
