Gatsby Party at Corning Center
On February 2nd, the recreation team at Corning Center had a facility-wide Great Gatsby party for the residents, and they loved it. The facility went back nearly 100 years to the mid-1920s, paying tribute to that period as set in the 1925 F. Scott Fitzgerald classic novel based on Long Island. Residents played cards and roulette, dressed like gangsters, while women wore the big style changes that took place, such as the comfortable flapper dresses. Residents were treated to non-alcoholic wine, and it all was great fun.
