Hammonton Center honors their nurses on National Nurses Week
During the week of May 8, 2023, Hammonton Center on North White Horse Pike in Hammonton, honored their nurses during National Nurses Week with special fun lunches filled with pizza, wings, and sandwiches. The theme this year was to remember the work done by Florence Nightingale, who was an English social reformer, statistician, and the founder of modern nursing more than one hundred years ago. Other than the special lunches, leadership at the 240-bed skilled nursing facility also had a few special breakfasts, as well as giving out “survival” gift bags to all of the nurses.
“The nurses are our true heroes, “said Recreation Director Helen Sikora. “They deserve all the goodness that comes to them, no matter how big or small. Each nurse is special in their own way, so we honor all of them.”
National Nursing Home Week follows Nurses Week, which is the week of May 15, 2023.
