Happy 101st Birthday Marjorie!
On September 24, 2023, Slate Valley Center resident and beer connoisseur Marjorie Thomas celebrated another milestone, this time her 101st birthday. On this day, her family came to celebrate with her over lunch and a cake, and then again on the 25th, this time with her Slate Valley Center friends and staff at the 88-bed Granville skilled nursing facility. Ms. Thomas is from Granville and she is highly well-loved by her family and everyone at the facility. Even at 101, Ms. Thomas is allowed a beer on a special occasion, all OK’d by her doctor. That she did and loved every minute of it, along with her favorite beer as a logo on her cake.
