New Year’s Wishes from Northern Metropolitan

Along with tasty hors d’oeuvres, eggnog, and non-alcohol cocktail, both residents and staff at Northern Metropolitan on Maple Avenue in Monsey, New York, had a great time on New Year’s Eve welcoming in 2023 with smiles and laughter! Playing upbeat rock, soul and jazz, the facility offered live entertainment with a one-man band who also gave New Year’s hats, beads and tambourines to the residents in the large dining room of the large 120-bed skilled nursing facility. This was the first New Year’s Eve facility-wide blowout since before the pandemic where that large dining room was standing room only. All in all, for those who couldn’t make it to the dining room, they enjoyed the same food from their own rooms while watching the ball drop from Times Square. The Recreation team, led by Director Imelda Divino, made this a memorable New Year’s Eve event.
