Holiday Celebrations Return to Martine
According to Martine Center Administrator Aaron Szydlo, the holiday season of 2021 has been a blessing compared to last year when the phrase “lock down” was all too common. This year, “it started to feel a lot like Christmas” when visitors arrived to visit their loved ones, decorations were seen throughout the 200-bed skilled nursing facility on Tibbits Avenue in White Plains and the Recreation staff had the residents do various holiday activities, such as Christmas arts and crafts, games, various Christmas sing-alongs and just getting together having hot chocolate, coffee and laughing with each other. Although these days Martine Center, like all other nursing facilities, have taken the COVID variants extra serious, it’s still a big difference when 2020 COVID precaution shut it all down. Happy holidays from everyone at Martine Center in White Plains.
