Late last week just as December began, Washington Center in Argyle, New York, welcomed back Elvis to the 122-bed skilled nursing facility. Mr. Bruce Stewart, a.k.a., “Elvis”, a very popular impersonator of The King throughout the Adirondacks and into northwest Vermont, returned for a holiday performance. Belting out the classics such as “Hound Dog”, “Jailhouse Rock” and “Don’t Be Cruel” to the intimacy of “Love Me Tender” and “Can’t Help Falling in Love”, the residents just love these Elvis performances and what’s special these days, he also did “Blue Christmas” and other Elvis holiday favorites. Another specialty is Bruce’s wife who travels with him and the residents look forward to her dancing and, as Bruce always does, her interaction with the residents.
