Montefiore Einstein Heroes Enjoy Free Ice Cream From CHC
On a hot sweltering August afternoon with temperatures well into the mid 90s, close to 200 health care workers from Montefiore Medical Center, Einstein Campus on Eastchester Road were treated to free ice cream by the team from Centers Health Care (CHC). This free ice cream giveaway that took place on August 12, was one of the final stops of the summer of 2021 Centers Health Care summer campaign where thousands hospital heroes throughout the tri-state region cooled off with delicious free ice cream.
“This is for them, the heroes of the pandemic, the ones we owe our lives to,” said Vanessa Pena, Bronx Territory Manager at Centers Health Care. “People forget that these health care workers are human too and everyday, they risk their lives for us. Even when they are stressed out, at least they can cool off to enjoy some ice cream.”
Centers Health Care is the leading network of nursing homes and rehabilitation facilities throughout the northeast so most medical centers work directly with the liaisons from Centers Health Care for patient post-acute care.
