Northern Manor Resident Turns 105
Fay Hendendal, a resident at Northern Manor in Nanuet celebrated her 105th birthday with staff, fellow residents and a number of members of her family at the facility. Along with a delicious chocolate cake, Administrator Henry Heineman and his Recreation Director Andrew Marchand arranged for a large 105th birthday display on the front lawn on the East Middletown Road facility. Born in Manhattan in 1916, Fay and her family spent many years moving in between Brooklyn and the Bronx. Later on Fay had two sons, Bruce and Gary, sadly both have passed since. Her family has been extended in her life having 11 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and 5.5 great great grandchildren. Even in her advanced age, Fay won’t let the latest technology get the better of her. She loves music so she enjoys asking Alexa to play her favorite golden oldies, as well as calling her family. Her grandchildren play a huge part in her life. She also loves going outside to enjoy the sunshine and last but certainly not least, and most of all, Fay loves to laugh when having a conversation.
