Richmond Center: AHA Gold Status
[Here, Richmond Center Assistant Administrator Aaron Stroock (middle holding the certificate) is shown with his team, proudly demonstrating their Gold certificate, which recognizes practices with 70 percent or more of their adult population with high BP controlled.]
Congratulations to the team at Richmond Center on Tompkins Avenue right here in Staten Island. The 372-bed skilled nursing facility, which has a five-star rating for staffing, has been given Gold status under the American Heart Association Target: BP program for 2023. Target: BP is a national initiative formed by the AHA and the American Medical Association (AMA) in response to the high prevalence of uncontrolled blood pressure (BP). Target: BP helps healthcare organizations and care teams, at no cost, improve BP control rates through an evidence-based quality improvement program and recognizes organizations committed to improving BP control.
