Schenectady Center celebrates Johnny Appleseed Day

At Schenectady Center in Schenectady, New York, the 240-bed skilled nursing facility observed Johnny Appleseed Day on March 11 as staff treated the residents to all kinds of apple treats throughout the day. From various apple desserts like Apple Pie a la Mode to thirst-quenching sliced apples to whole apples, the Recreation team, led by Director Linda McCue, also held an educational event with about twenty residents to learn about the origin of apples in the United States.
