Super Bowl party at Northern Riverview
Residents at Northern Riverview in Haverstraw had a great Super Bowl party at the 180-bed skilled nursing facility on Sunday, February 12. The Super Bowl event was arranged by Recreation Director Lori Silverstein and her team for a special Sunday work day. It was much more than watching the game and eating chips. The day kicked off with a Super Bowl coloring sheet where residents created the team logo of who they were rooting for, the Chiefs or Eagles. On a mild Sunday, residents enjoyed ice cream and then voted for who they thought would win the big game and it made sense if you’re in the New York City Metropolitan area, but the favorite was Kansas City Chiefs. Following the Chiefs victory, residents then watched a football-themed movie called, “The Blind Side” from 2009 with Sandra Bullock and Quinton Aaron.
