Through Our Rockland Reader’s Eyes – Breast Cancer Awareness

On October 18, 2021, the Recreation team at Northern Riverview in Haverstraw led by Lori Silverstein toured the 180-bed facility bringing breast cancer awareness to the forefront of the residents and fellow colleagues. The team created a Think Pink Ð Join the Fight cart filled with pink balloons, stuffed teddy bears, hats, socks and ribbon scarfs for the residents and staff. For many months, we all have been thinking how to be safe from COVID-19 but let’s not forget about breast cancer, says Silverstein. We have come so far with fighting the disease and keeping awareness strong, let’s not fall back now. The Recreation Team and their breast cancer awareness cart.
