Residents and staff at Slate Valley Center on State Route 40 in Granville, New York, were wearing blue on April 2 to recognized World Autism Day. This day is designed to encourage Member States of the United Nations to take measures to raise awareness about autistic individuals throughout the world. The reason is to promote understanding, acceptance, and inclusion of autism where one in every 36 children in America are to recognize their strengths and positivity traits of those known to be on the spectrum.
