Nothing Spooky About Hunts Point Urgent Care Grand Opening

The Hunts Point location of Centers Urgent Care, a 2,000 square-foot urgent care medical facility developed by The Blumenfeld Development Group (BDG) and located at The Crossings in the Hunts Point section of the Bronx, had a very celebratory Halloween-flavored grand opening yesterday all geared to the people and families of the community. This opening, which was done with a fun family Halloween twist for the kids, grabbed the attention of people from in and around Hunts Point who came to learn what the walk-in clinic, located at 925 Hunts Point Avenue in the Bronx, has to offer.

The staff, who were both outside of the facility supplying material at the information table doing meet and greets, as well as giving people tours inside, were all dressed in costumes and giving out candies as a trick-or-treat for the kids. Meanwhile, the parents were excited that this urgent care now exists and fills an important emergency need for the Hunts Point community as they now have a nearby medical facility where they can either walk-in or schedule an appointment within the hours from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day.

\"The care provided by Centers Urgent Care is geared towards the underserved neighborhoods and communities across the five boroughs of New York City,\" said Centers Urgent Care Director David Singer. \"We are proud to call The Crossing in the Hunts Pont section of the Bronx, home to our newest Centers Urgent Care facility. People living in and around Hunts Point will get the immediate care and medical attention they need without the need to wait in a hospital emergency department’s waiting room.\"

This new clinic offers Bronx residents flu shots and vaccinations, trauma care, x-rays, STD testing, lab work, pediatric care, IV infusions, women’s health, occupational and employer services, and Department of Transportation (DOT) physicals.

In addition to this particular Bronx location, Centers Urgent Care has eleven other clinics throughout New York City in various Brooklyn communities such as in Boro Park, Gateway, Flatbush, Fulton, Coney Island, Bay Ridge, King Highway, Newkirk, a number of Queens neighborhoods in Middle Village, Forest Hills, Astoria, and in East Harlem, and on the Upper West Side on 86th Street in Manhattan.
