Corning Center Mental Health
On October 10, staff and residents at Corning Center in Corning, New York, recognized World Mental Health Day by raising awareness of this global health condition by wearing green. In addition to wearing green, the facility held facility-wide raffles called the Owl Fund. The Owl Fund Raffles helps collect money to help promote self-care to residents who lack financial means/family. This fund provides those residents with opportunities such as joining outings, from sporting events to any other kind of entertainment such as going to the movies.
