Employee of the Month at Essex Center
A big congratulations goes to Mr. Kevin Bell, Physical Therapy Assistant at Essex Center on Park Street in Elizabethtown, New York, for being named the April 2021 Employee of the Month. Kevin is incredibly well-liked at Essex Center, staff and residents alike. He has a great sense of humor and always does his job with a smile. Kevin has been at four different Centers Health Care locations, the two facilities in Buffalo, Schenectady and these days at Essex Center. His love for the Adirondacks had brought him to Elizabethtown and he hasn’t looked back since. When he’s not there helping residents, you can find Kevin hiking, golfing, he’s a fly fisherman and now a notice downhill skier. In addition to his consistent positive attitude, Kevin always has words of encouragement for his residents and fellow staff and even with all oif these incredible qualities, Kevin is a huge giving person. On many days, he visits the thrift stores to buy clothing and books for the residents. Congrats Kevin!

The goal is not exactly the same for everyone. It may be returning home, becoming stronger, staying independent or simply feeling better and more comfortable from one day to the next. There will be progress, setbacks and difficult days along the way. Our job is to be there through all of it, and to help each patient or resident get as far as he or she can.
Sometimes that progress comes in large steps. More often, it comes in small ones. Either way, every step matters.
