National Puppy Day
To celebrate National Puppy Day, residents at Warren Center in Queensbury baked homemade doggie treats for their pets and their families. Recreation Director Holly Desnoyers at the 80-bed skilled nursing facility on Gurney Lane would normally have a dog parade, but COVID-19 has put that on hold for the time being. Nevertheless, she said that baking adds a calming and therapeutic mindset for the residents. The treats will be given to families to give their pets when they come for a visit.
