Slate Valley Center commemorates Mental Health Awareness Month

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, so the staff at Slate Valley Center on State Route 40 in Granville, New York, were all dressed in green this week in support of the millions affected by mental illness. Since 1949, Mental Health Awareness Month has aimed to reduce the stigma surrounding behavioral health issues, provide resources for those who need help, and highlight the ways mental illness can affect all of us, including patients, providers, families, and our society at large. This is from the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).

As seen all in Granville Sentinel, Granville, NY, WCAX-TV, and NYVT Media
