Steuben Center Quality Program

On June 28, 2023, it was announced that the skilled nursing facility Steuben Center in Bath, New York, was accepted into New York State’s infection control quality improvement program, "Project Firstline NY". Some of the staff at the 105-bed facility were included in some fun infection control education and also got to do an infection control escape room. Steuben Center had four total teams and the team that clocked the fastest time getting out of the escape room at seven minutes, thirty seconds included the following staff personnel from L-R: Peyton from Medical Records, Jolene from Transportation, Finance/Business Office Manager Julia, Activities Director Kameryn, Ernest, who is the Director of Social Work, and Heide, Physician Assistant. In conjunction with the NY State Foundation For Quality Care and the NYSHFA/NYSCAL, Project Firstline NY is a free infection control program that seeks to provide support and resources to New York‘s frontline healthcare workers, families, and communities post-COVID-19 pandemic.

Care. Support. Positive Outcomes. Centers Health Care.
Centers Health Care provides rehabilitation, skilled nursing and long-term care for people with a wide range of needs. Whether someone is recovering from surgery, managing an illness or simply needs more support than can be provided at home, our staff is there to help.
The goal is not exactly the same for everyone. It may be returning home, becoming stronger, staying independent or simply feeling better and more comfortable from one day to the next. There will be progress, setbacks and difficult days along the way. Our job is to be there through all of it, and to help each patient or resident get as far as he or she can.
Sometimes that progress comes in large steps. More often, it comes in small ones. Either way, every step matters.
Our Steps to Home series follows patients through rehabilitation and the journey from hospital to home:
