Mr. Swart had suffered a severe ankle injury, which required major surgery. When he was discharged from the hospital and admitted to Glens Falls Center to rehab, he was too weak get out of bed. He was devastated.

The Glens Falls Center staff set out to heal him physically and emotionally. The therapists worked with an orthopedic physician to design a program to rebuild his strength from the ground up—a comprehensive plan that included therapy, medical care, diet and recreation. A month after he was admitted, Mr. Swart was back on his feet and on his way home.
