Wildlife Visit at Ontario Center
On March 6, residents and staff at Ontario Center in Canandaigua were visited by the team from Wildlife Rockstars who are based out of Farmington, New York. The Wildlife Rockstars folks brought all kinds of exotic animals to the 98-bed skilled nursing facility which thrilled both residents and staff. Wildlife Rockstars is an educational program that uses various rare types of birds, amphibians, and reptiles to educate about the different ecosystems and habitats a species inhabits.
The program is part of Bridges for Brain Injury, a group that guides individuals with traumatic brain injuries and physical disabilities and their families, by ‘bridging the gap’ between surviving and living lives of independence with dignity and hope.
