Thank You, Christina Muttavanchery from Northern Riverview
Northern Riverview, the large 180-bed skilled nursing facility in Haverstraw is deeply thanking Ms. Christina Muttavanchery, Chapter Head of the Stony Point branch of “Letters for Rose”, for organizing the delivery and lifting the spirits of the facility’s residents by dropping off beautifully handwritten spring and holiday cards to our facility. Letters For Rose (www.lettersforrose.org) is a non-profit organization that aims to reduce loneliness among elders during the COVID-19 pandemic by creating and distributing personalized letters, art, and donations for local nursing homes. Founded and staffed exclusively by high school student volunteers, with over 400 chapters across the world, “Letters for Rose” creates community service, team-building, and leadership opportunities for its volunteers. Ms. Muttavanchery worked all of the logistics of the letters delivery with Lori Silverstein, Recreation Director of Northern Riverview.
