Hammonton Center Honors Local Veterans on Veterans Day with Special Guests and Medals

This year Veterans Day at Hammonton Center brought some very special local heroes to salute and place medals around the necks of Hammonton Center veterans. The Recreation Department at the large 240-bed skilled nursing facility on North White Horse Pike. lead by Director Bridget Pody, was very instrumental in bringing it all together to make sure the veterans at the facility were being recognized.
\"Every year, Veterans Day at many skilled nursing homes no matter where you are, are being thanked for their service that they did when they were younger,\" says Pody. \"We always make sure that Veterans Day here is like Christmas to them, the biggest holiday of the year for these brave heroes that live among us.\"
Some of the distinguished guests this year included Mr. Kevin Friel, Chief Of Police from the Hammonton Police Department, and several members from the VFW Post 1026.
