Providing safeguards to protect residents from COVID-19 while delivering superior care to patients suffering from or recovering from the virus.
The safety of our residents, patients, staff, and their families is our priority and we continue to take an abundance of precaution to protect them. The COVID-19 vaccine is available to all of our residents and staff.
Our medical teams and therapists follow the most advanced protocols in treating COVID-19 patients and helping those recovering from it to recover their strength and get back home.
Inpatient management includes supportive management of the most common complications of severe COVID-19, including but not limited to respiratory and renal issues, as well as complications from prolonged hospitalization.
Mr. Volpini contracted a severe case of COVID-19 and spent 80 days at the Richmond University Hospital fighting the virus. When he was discharged and admitted to Richmond Center, he was extremely weak, unable to walk or even grip items in his hand.
Recognizing the challenge ahead for Mr. Volpini, the medical staff, therapists, diet and recreational specialists designed a comprehensive program for him with the goal of nursing him back to health and gradually increasing his strength. His progress was monitored daily and changes to the plan implemented as needed. The ultimate goal of getting him back home and on his own was achieved after 12 weeks.
"I feel a 100% better. They call me the ‘miracle patient,’ and thanks to the team at Richmond Center, it’s true!"
