Mental Health Awareness Month Recognized at Slate Valley Center

Staff at Slate Valley Center in Granville, New York, recognized Mental Health Awareness Month by wearing all green during the week of May 9th. Every year, May is Mental Health Awareness Month, which was started by the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). This should not be confused with October, which is “Depression and Mental Health Awareness Month”. In the Adirondacks and Capital Region, NAMI is located in Albany, New York, and Williston, Vermont.
