Musical Performances in a Skilled Nursing Facility: How Music Can Benefit the Mind and Body
A perfect example of how music appreciation and music therapy exercise the mind was seen throughout the week of September 10 at Washington Center in Argyle, New York. During that week, the lively orchestral Hartford Community Band (left) and the ever-popular Americana, Classic Country, Bluegrass, and Gospel band, The Bluebillies (right), played to the residents at the 122-bed skilled nursing facility. Both musical acts are based out of Hartford, New York.
