Food Drive Support from Northern Riverview
The staff at Northern Riverview on Route 9W South in Haverstraw have been very active all throughout this holiday season. The folks in the Recreation Department have been collecting food donations to support Rockland County’s largest food pantry, People to People. The department accepted non-perishable goods for those in need during Thanksgiving last week, and are continuing their food drive throughout the holidays. On the reverse end, the Haverstraw community have been donating clothes to Northern Riverview to help the residents in need. “We have created a Thankful Tree located in our lobby,” said Lori Silverstein, Recreation Director. “Residents and staff have been taking a leaf to add to the branches, stating what they are thankful for.” All in all, Thanksgiving wouldn’t be the same without a delicious turkey lunch with all the fixings, and pumpkin pie for dessert, all provided by the talented and hardworking kitchen staff at Northern Riverview.
