Pumpkin Carving Contests, BOOsters, and Candy at Northern Riverview Center

On October 27 at Northern Riverview in Haverstraw, the staff at the facility had a Halloween pumpkin carving contest where the residents were the judges. From a gorgeous candy corn pumpkin to a chilling baby mommy, plus other sights of the season, the contest went off without a hitch. The staff worked diligently to create eye-catching creative pumpkins and they were grouped by departments, carving a few days before the contest. Recreation made sure that they creatively displayed each piece of Halloween art beautifully surrounding them in trick or treat candy including funny spooky sayings. There was even a Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine get Your Booooooster Shot display with another sign that read Needle ittle More Candy????? The residents chose the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. First Place: The Candy Corn Pumpkin (created by Admissions and Reception), Second Place: The M & M Pumpkin (created by Rehabilitation) and Third Place: The Baby Mummy Pumpkin, (created by Recreation)
