Salutes to Vets on National VFW Day at Slate Valley Center
On Wednesday, Sept. 29, Slate Valley Center observed National VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) Day and invited a special guest to talk to the veterans at the center. Butch Hurlburt, commander of VFW Post 1653 located on North Street in Granville, spoke to the veterans and want d to hear what they had to say about what is on their minds these days, including Covld-19, Slate Valley Center activities, their families, and more. At the end of his visit, Commander Hurlburt saluted the vets.
